I have not been motivated to blog- once again. My last post talked about a car accident I was in and now, as of 2 weeks ago, I had to have a spontaneous surgery to remove my appendix. Life has truly been something else for me in the last couple of months. Through it all, I have had endless support and love from the people around me- which I cannot be more thankful for. The timing of all of this has been rough, but I guess there never is a good time to have your appendix removed (and to not have a car...). I really wanted to work this month, as I am on my only break from school for the summer, and am trying to save as I am getting a car lease this week (super excited about that!), but those plans changed following my appendectomy. I am not able to lift anything heavier than like 10 pounds- which is pretty much the entirety of both of my jobs. It is what it is though and I am thankful to my boss(es) for allowing me to do what I can- when I can, and for being so understanding! I am also thankful that this upcoming semester of school does not require me to be on campus every day, so I can work a couple of days of the week, unlike my first semester of the program. As I get closer to beginning my third semester in my program, the semester that we have our first pediatric fieldwork, I feel excited and a little nervous! I know the semester will not be easy by any means, but I am ready for the challenge and know that I can do and be great at anything I put my mind to (well, maybe not like winning a world record for most hot dogs eaten or something, that sounds painful).
A couple more positive notes, other than me finally getting a new car this upcoming week (yay!), is that I received a scholarship that I applied for through school! So that's pretty cool and helpful :) I also recently went on a trip to Boyne, which was so much fun! Parker and I will also be going to the UP soon to visit some of our friends- so that is definitely something I am looking forward to ending my summer break! Although some things have not gone the best for me this summer so far, I know that good days are coming and I am still such a lucky girl.
